Wayfinder er lagt ned
Dessverre har vi mottatt melding om at Wayfinder er lagt ned. Det betyr at all utvikling av både Wayfinder Access og Wayfinder Navigator er stoppet.
Her følger originalmeldingen vi fikk fra Nuance:
Dear resellers,
we have been informed that Wayfinder Access, like other Wayfinder products, is discontinued. See this note on the Wayfinder home page:

Our request to take over the development of Wayfinder Access has been rejected by Vodafone, who have acquired Wayfinder AB in 2009.
This means:
1. We can sell our remaining licenses for Wayfinder Access, but not get any further licenses in the future.
2. Wayfinder Access users can continue to use the service. We have not received clear information, whether this will carry on “forever", i.e. until user numbers are drowned.
3. Wayfinder Access will no longer be developed. If the current release 2.5 is not compatible to a future or existing handset, like in case of S60 5th Edition devices, it can simply not be used.
We will keep you up-to-date about any new developments. Please ensure that your customers know about this before you sell Wayfinder Access to them.
